Sante Nou/ Health Us is a not for profit organization started by Jean Daniel Maurice and a staff of health professionals who are passionately dedicated toward delivering health education to all children and young adults in the Caribbean’s island and Latin America. Mr. Maurice and his staff of health professionals has designed a program that will educate and motivate young adults across the Caribbean’s Island to protect themselves against sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS, and other germs and parasites that have taken many lives across the globe. Our mission is to reach over 100 thousand children across the Caribbean islands, by hosting Peer Health Education Day’s utilizing the school system as our base of operation.
We hope to reach 100 thousand students within the next 10 years. Health Us believes that a more concerted effort is needed to prepare communities to deal with the challenges that can be prevented through the proper health education. We are, therefore, proposing an extended education approach which, we believe, will also stimulate community-based activities to address the issue. For such a project, more resources will be needed than we can hope to rise from our congregations. We are aware of the excellent work that has been done through the years in developed countries; In particular, we have been inspired by the work of the Educators before us; thus we are obligated as health students to protect and serve the human race through proper prevention and treatment education and services.
